AWNM Per. 3 Play

  1. The other day I was talking to a man that I met who works in Germany. He talked about work and how in his company people totally separate their personal and business lives. It would not seem that they get to have much fun at work; it seems like Ford’s policy. People need to regulate themselves with regard to work and play. It seems that many students believe that video games are addictive and bad. This personal opinion should influence that student’s choices; but not necessarily impact decisions made by their peers. These decisions need to be made with the support of each student’s parents. I think that people can learn through video games. Like Pink was saying, in America’s Army the people learn to recognize patterns and different skills like teamwork and responsibility through play. Hobbies seem to be like play. If one person enjoys a hobby, they will be having fun and it seems like play. I think of LeBron James, think of all the moves that he makes, and how he can work with handicaps and even respond on the spur of the moment.

  2. The play activities were funny to watch. Everyone seemed so relaxed and happy to be there. I was having a rough couple of days. When I watched the videos of the babies laughing, i couldn't help from at least smiling. It felt good to smile like that and relieve tension and stress. Later that day, a friend of mine was talking to me and he was acting real goofy. He was really just playing around trying to cheer me up and it worked. I felt a lot better after that. Play made a big difference for me and it should be exerted whenever possible. It could change your day, week, year, or life.
